Frequently Asked Questions
Is your membership only comprised of Latina women? Do I have to be Latina to be a member?
No, and no. Our membership is comprised of women from all ethnicities. We have members of African, Latina, Caribbean, Asian and European descent to name a few. While our membership is Latina-oriented, we are not Latina based - we are proud of our diversity. Our membership is open to women of all races, ethnicities and creeds.
Do you have a brother fraternity?
No. One of the many reasons our organization was founded was to fight against the injustices suffered by our gender. As a sorority, we function independently and this is something we are very proud of. In our efforts to "Servir y Educar A Través de Nuestra Diversidad" (Serve and Educate through our Diversity) - we recognize the importance of working and building professional bonds with many organizations. Although we do not have a brother fraternity - we do have strong relationships and have co-sponsored many events and community services with many Greek lettered organizations.
