Membership

Through our diversity, we bring together our strengths, talents and leadership to unite under a common goal: to make a difference in our communities and to fight against the injustices suffered by our gender.

A Sisterhood beyond the collegiate experience...

Our organization, is celebrating our 30th year and is in a growth stage.  We believe in the importance of the quality of our members and the potential ability to contribute to the future prosperity and advancement of our communities. 

 

Alumnae chapters like ours afford women the opportunity to continue serving and educating the community at large while offering mentor-ship to our undergraduate members and our resources to sisters as a whole.  We provide a social outlet, a vehicle for community outreach and a personal and professional support network.  If interested in Omega Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. ask yourself the following questions:

  • Am I a hardworking community leader with an inner desire to serve my greater community?

  • Do I have a passion to create a new standard for women in the professional and academic realms?

  • Would I like to establish a strong bond of sisterhood, and develop a network that may support me in my personal and professional endeavors?

  • Do I seek a vehicle for expression to fill a need in the community?

Interested in Omega Phi Beta?

In some cases,  women interested in membership were either unable to pursue it during their undergraduate years or became familiar with OPBSI post-graduation. There are many ways that an alumna or professional member can contribute to the Sorority and benefit from a network of sisters, empowered and motivated to change the world!

 

Basic Requirements for Alumnae/Professional Membership:

​

  • Must posses a baccalaureate degree from an accredited four-year college/university

  • Must be gainfully employed, or enrolled in a Graduate program at an accredited college or university

  • If enrolled in a Graduate program, must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) or 3.0

  • May not be affiliated with any other fraternal organization except an honorary,service or academic/professional one
